1968 vintage postcard of the Apollo 8 Spacecraft awaiting blast off for the orbital moon shot at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The three-person crew of the Apollo 8 spacecraft mission became the first people to orbit the moon. Commander Frank Borman, Command Module Pilot James Lovell, and Lunar Module Pilot William Anders spent six days in space. The Apollo spacecraft was composed of three parts designed to accomplish the American Apollo program's goal of landing astronauts on the Moon by the end of the 1960s and returning them safely to Earth. This would look great framed or make a nice addition to any collection.
