1950s vintage black American Folk Art pipe cleaner pocket Posie doll. The doll is approximately 3 inches tall and in near pristine condition, aside from one leg missing. See the images, please. It was made by Mrs. Halbet from Emporia, Kansas. Mrs. Halbert was a member of the Emporia Society and was active in fundraising efforts for black children's needs. In the early 1920s, she spearheaded fundraising events that financed YMCA camping trips for disadvantaged black boys.
