1950 vintage postcard. Temple Square, Salt Lake City, Utah. The Temple Square is a ten-acre plot- compassed by a stone and adobe wall, 12 feet high and 3 feet thick, with large gates on each of the four sides. Within the walls are the great "Mormon" Temple, Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, Bureau of Information, Museum, and one of the oldest houses in Utah, as monuments to Joseph and Hyrum Smith and the Sea Gulls. A free organ recital is given daily for Salt Lake City visitors.
