1940s vintage saucy comic postcard. Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Double entendre: "I'm going to join the Mounties 'cause they always get their man." A vintage postcard that foreshadowed the future, about thirty years later on September 16, 1974, thirty-two women in Canada made history when they were sworn in as the first female officers in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Known as Troop 17, they paved the way for equal opportunity in national law enforcement. This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
