1930 Naval Armory Detroit Michigan

1930 vintage postcard. The Detroit Naval Armory served Sailors and Marines. The building combined the vertical and streamlined characteristics of the era's Art Deco and Art Moderne styles. The future heavyweight champion Joe Louis fought his first career bout here in 1932. "Naval Armory located about 3 miles from downtown. Detroit on Jefferson Avenue East, near the Belle Isle Bridge". This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
