1919 WW1 Painted Hearts

1919 vintage postcard. A charming illustration of a child in a sailor suit painting red hearts on a garden wall. Red roses, the traditional flower of romantic love, grow off to the side. Artist Signed Lehmann. The ink shortages during The Great War limited postcards to one and two-color, simple designs, as seen here. Postage was raised to two cents to fund the war effort. This delightful vintage Valentine's postcard would look great framed or make a nice addition to any collection.
