1904 USS Columbia Commerce Raider Ship

1904 vintage postcard. The USS Columbia was a protected cruiser. It was a lightly gunned ship with only moderate armor that was built for the speed. In addition to being a commerce raider, Columbia was used as a troop transport during the Spanish-American war. It was decommissioned in 1907.
