This undivided back postcard from 1907 features the original Summit House, built in 1873, at the top of Pikes Peak, a popular tourist destination. The Summit House, with its distinctive tower on the north end, allowed visitors to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the peak. This wooden structure served visitors until it was replaced by a more modern building in 1964. The 1960s-era building was recently demolished to make way for the new Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center.

The postcard also showcases the steam engine train cog rail, an engineering marvel of its time, providing a unique and scenic journey up the mountain. This postcard is a wonderful piece of history, capturing the early 20th-century charm and the innovative spirit of the era.
