This 1942-1945 vintage blouse was manufactured to the 1942-1945 War Production Board standards (WPB). Due to wartime rationing, clothing designs were simplified to reduce the amount of fabric used. This included limiting the use of pockets, pleats, and embellishments like cuffs or extra buttons.
This white cotton blouse features a nipped waist and Dolman sleeves for a flattering silhouette. The button-down front is adorned with four navy blue molded basketweave plastic buttons, adding a unique touch. A small decorative pocket on the right breast is outlined with navy trim, and the collar and short sleeve edges are also accented in navy for added detail. No flaws.
