A complex Zha-Ran plum blossom Chinese Winter kimono outer robe. 1980. See images for measurements.

Commonly considered a traditional Japanese garment, the kimono traces its origins to China. This kimono showcases a complex Plum Blossom-themed Zha-ran, a Chinese tie-dye technique. The plum blossom symbolizes resilience and perseverance because plum blossoms bloom most vibrantly amidst the harsh winter snow.

While addressing an open seam at the collar, we discovered an inner panel with Chinese characters. On the left top corner, it says "a registered trademark." The first letter means "good" or "nice" and the last means "fabric" or "weave." We don't know the meaning of the middle character. The far-right characters describe the fiber content: wool 85%, polyester 15%. The collar has since been closed, returning this information into seclusion. The lining is shattered at the shoulders, not seen while wearing. Some surface soiling/needs dry cleaning: priced accordingly.
