19L Two Hole Peach Conch Shell Buttons

Set of five 1920 to 1940s antique pale peach conch shell buttons. These two-hole, sew-through small shell buttons have a rich, feminine luster and a round eye at the center. Measure approximately 19L, 19 lignes, 12 mm, or 15/32 inches.

These buttons were most often used to fasten lightweight lingerie bed jackets and lightweight fabric feminine blouses. A natural material, Mother of Pearl is made from nacre (the inner layer of shells).
