1907 Tuck’s Oilette Postcard - Valley Forge Headquarters: This exquisite topographical postcard features the historic Headquarters of Brigadier-General Harry Lee and General Lord Stirling at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Introduced in 1903, Tuck’s Oilette postcards are renowned for resembling miniature oil paintings. Headquarters of Brigadier-General Harry Lee and General Lord Sterling. 

The house was the home of Rev. Dr. Carrie in 1727 and was occupied t by General Lee and Lord Sterling. It is of the oil-substantial stone type and has not been altered in any material respect. General Lee was the dashing "Light Horse Harry of the famous Lee family of Virginia. General Lord Sterling a Jersey man, was a great patriot, and one of the best and most active of the American officers in the war for independence. He was a claimant to the British estates of the Earl of Sterling and assumed this title.
