DO YOU REMEMBER?
How "He's a Jolly Good Fellow" brings back the long, long ago, When "schooners" played "tag" and you had a jag not eighteen miles from shore.. But you rocked along singing that old song with the gang you "used to" know And another drink just made you think you'd be good for a million more.

But now, Alas! There's not a chance-this White Mule kicks you in the pants You make some wine-it tastes like brine, or mothball pills and such; Your gin is "Jake," your beer a fake, your bootleg bills advance; You might as well be down in 'ell where you look but mustn't touch. Oh! Those wet and juicy picnics with the lunch and lager free:

We drank from mugs and earthen jugs in the open light of day: But now you park in the secret dark with "sweetie" on your knee: It's a great old game but it's not the same, no matter how you play. We "used to" sing with a jolly ring, "Hail, Hail, the Gang's All Here," There's a tear of regret and we can't forget those joys of yesteryear.
