The Firm was a British rock supergroup formed in 1984, featuring some of rock’s most iconic musicians: Paul Rodgers (vocals, formerly of Free and Bad Company), Jimmy Page (guitar, formerly of Led Zeppelin), Tony Franklin (bass, formerly of Roy Harper), and Chris Slade (drums, formerly of Uriah Heep). The band was known for its unique blend of hard rock and blues rock, and they released two albums during their brief existence: The Firm (1985) and Mean Business (1986).

The supporting band for this tour was Virginia Wolf, a British rock band known for their melodic rock sound. Their presence added an extra layer of excitement to the concerts, as they were an up-and-coming band at the time, gaining exposure through their association with The Firm.
