Historical textile image reference of stage star, royal favorite, and trendsetter Lillie Langtry. The famous courtesan introduced the medallion fashion motif that went on to set the trend of medallion-embellished textiles during the period. Referenced by the costume designers for Anna, in Downton Abbey.
