WWII US 20th Army Air Corps Jacket 38L

38 Long vintage WW2 US 20th Army Air Corps- Army Air Force - Dress Coat or Jacket.

The 20th Air 1944-1946 was the main bomber force over Japan. B-29s from this Air Force dropped the atom bombs.

The ruptured Duck emblem above the right pocket showed that the soldier was honorably discharged. Due to clothing shortages, the soldier was allowed to wear his coat for up to 30 days after discharge.  The soldiers thought the eagle in the wreath looked more like a duck - hence its name.
