1954 Horse Riding Honey M/8

Vintage custom-tailored Kentucky riding pants in rich brown worsted wool gabardine. Crafted with care, these pants feature side slit pockets, belt loops, and a left-side metal Talon zipper fly with a button tab closure at the waistband. The continuous waist and sartorial split waistband ensure a flattering fit. Don’t miss the functional stirrup buttons on the inside hem! Genuine vintage, the stirrups are still in working condition but will need to be replaced sooner rather than later. There are a few silverfish nibbles on the surface that have been treated, and the pants have been professionally dry-cleaned. 

JSS Losse label, a piece of fashion heritage from 520 Olive Street in Saint Louis. Crafted on November 16, 1954, this custom-tailored garment bears the prestigious Taylor’s Union Label, endorsed by the United Garment Workers of America. The manufacturer number, introduced in the 1930s, continued to grace custom garments until the tailor’s supply was exhausted. Originally commissioned for Mrs. Lamy, a prominent St. Louis socialite featured in the Who’s Who Women of Achievement and the University’s Top 100.
