Condition of book: Please see images. The pictures do not show it well, but the text block is wavy - like it was compressed as an entire block and wavy. I don't know why, there are no signs of actual water damage.
The marbled endpaper looks like it is warped in real life, - but it is just an illusion created by the paper artist. The pattern is called "Spanish Wave" and was made by knocking the marbling tray with a mallet, thus creating a wave. It was a popular marbled paper, seen as early as the 1830s.
