Juan José de Soiza Reilly was an Argentine journalist and writer. Born on May 19, 1880, in Concordia, Entre Ríos, Soiza Reilly possessed an innate curiosity that would propel him into the heart of intellectual circles. His journey led him to Buenos Aires, where he carved out a niche as a colorful character—a raconteur, a seeker of stories, and a master of wit.
In 1907, on assignment from the magazine Caras y Caretas, Soiza Reilly traveled to Europe and interviewed French, Italian, Spanish, and American figures. These confessions, these glimpses into lives, wove together a tapestry of agile biographies and quick interviews. This book is a collection of one hundred of those interviews. Although the echoes of his bylines faded, Souza Reilly's legacy endures — a testament to the power of words and the art of storytelling.
