Atractivos personales (Manual de Cortesía Práctica) by Marder Orison Swett. Dr. Orison Swett Marden was an American inspirational author. He was the founder of SUCCESS magazine in 1897. His writings discuss common-sense principles and virtues that make for a well-rounded, successful life.

Many of his ideas are based on New Thought philosophy. New Thought is a religious-metaphysical healing movement with roots in the United States and England that began in the 1830s. It is based on the teachings of 19th-century American mental healer Phineas Parkhurst Quimby (1802-66), who believed illness originated in the mind and could be overcome with "Truth".
