1924. Gliding Flight was designed by Albert Caasmann for Rosenthal in 1914. The lip of the bottom is incised with the artist's name A. Caasmann. Mold number K354. The Rosenthal Selb Bavaria mark on the base dates this piece to 1924. Approximately 3 1/2 inches tall (9 cm). 

Albert Caasmann (2 June 1886 – 23 March 1968) was a German sculptor and porcelain artist. He designed a series of elf and fairytale-themed figurines, including this Ground Fairy riding a dragonfly. Caasmann's work is exhibited in the Porzellanikon's Rosenthal Museum in Selb, Germany.  We combine shipping and invite you to visit our other listings.
