1940s Postwar Cufflinks by Shields

These 1940s vintage early post-war cufflinks were introduced while the United States was still experiencing metal shortages from the war effort. Thin metal stamped with a geometric pattern. This design became quite popular and continued to be made on bulkier metal settings through the 1950s and 1960s. Marked: S in a circle (Shields Co. hallmark).
