1940 Soldiers Home Fountain Milwaukee Wisconsin

Late 1940s vintage postcard of the Fountain at the National Soldiers Home, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The fountain maintains the original statue from when it was built in 1878. It stands in front of the Gothic Revival-style Old Main building, strategically built in 1869 on the highest point on the grounds to serve as its striking and visible centerpiece. This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
