1909 vintage topographical postcard. The place of yelling at the Piperesse Bridge is named after Marie-la-Piperesse, the wife of the piper, or watchman, of the belfry at Notre Dame Cathedral. Old Amiens, France. It was destroyed along with rue Saint-Firmin-le-Confesseur and part of rue des Rinchevaux during World War Two. Exceptionally rare image.
