1929 vintage topographical postcard. Antoni Gaudí condenses the story of the nativity through sculpture and architecture. Gaudí's Sagrada Familia, this imposing basilica under construction in Barcelona, has two facades: Nativity and Passion. Gaudí wanted to dedicate hours and hours to the Nativity to show the mystery of the irruption of divine life in the world, and to detail the meaning of the offer of salvation. The scene takes place in Bethlehem; José and María have arrived there from Nazareth to register in the census decreed by César Augusto.
