Introduced in 1952, this Floating Action bra was made by Exquisite Form. The "Floating Action" was considered a revolutionary new design principle, introducing tangent straps that suspend the frame at six points rather than in the cup sections themselves. This design was touted as allowing greater freedom of arm and shoulder motion in greater comfort without slipping.

It became the first company to offer boxed, prepackaged bras in 1950.
