On Monday, January 12, 1948, the Brooklyn Museum opened an exhibition entitled THE GLASS AND GLAZES OF ANCIENT EGYPT in the Entrance Gallery on the main floor. The objects in the exhibit were drawn almost entirely from the Museum collections to illustrate the history of glass and the closely allied glazed wares used in ancient Egypt. This pamphlet handbook was published to accompany the exhibition. According to the Museum archives, the handbook was sold at the Museum's Sales Desk for 40 cents.
