1965 Hope Slide Landslide Princeton Canada

1965 vintage postcard. The Hope Slide was a landslide that occurred in the morning hours of January 9, 1965, in the Nicola Valley in the Cascade Mountains near Hope, British Columbia, and killed four people. It was the largest recorded landslide in Canada until the 2010 Mount Meager landslide. Photo by George Weinhaupl.
