1910s Amber Glass Arrowroot Apothecary Jar
1910s Mouth-blown amber glass holistic apothecary bottle or jar. The enamel label reads "ARROWROOT". Arrowroot was used to treat digestive disorders. The bottom is marked W. T. Co. 5 (Whitall Tatum & Company), used from 1901 - 1924. The letter 'D' is the mold number for the bottle. The cork fits and releases perfectly. Offered in its original, as-found condition, with some remnants of arrowroot still inside. There are minor flaws in the glass like a few air bubbles, a smooth groove in the flared lip, and expected general wear from its use.
