1950s. This vintage Pan Am airline flatware has the striped band pattern and our research indicates that they were tied in with "The Rainbow" promotions.

In May of 1952, "The Rainbow" was the first time a reduced-class fare was introduced in the industry. The Rainbow fare meant air travel was no longer limited to wealthy travelers. Reduced fare Rainbow passenger meals were limited to cold meals on pre-assembled trays with throw-away tableware (plastic cutlery). However, first-class passengers on these flights still enjoyed warm meals served on real china, glassware, and metal flatware, which is the history of the pieces offered here.

In as-found condition as shown. The backs are marked "International Silver Co. PAA". You will receive all three pieces shown here.
