1946-50s Pan Am Flatware PAA ATL Spoons
These vintage Pan Am airline flatware spoons are marked ATL, which means they were used in the Atlantic Division of the airline. Silver plate. Before 1960, Pan Am operated as three airlines within an airline. Each division established its catering program. So, there are three different styles of glasses, plates, and back stamps on flatware. Catering tableware was not streamlined until the introduction of the President pattern in the 1960s.
The Atlantic Division was headquartered in New York and used the ATL hallmark found on the two spoons offered here. (established 1939). In as-found condition as shown. The backs are marked: International Silver Co. PAA-ATL. You will receive both spoons shown here.
